Win-Win: Online Dispute Resolution Marketplace

We're building an online dispute resolution marketplace on Cardano to make the world a better place.

The dispute resolution space suffers from an antiquated reputation model, ethical dilemmas, and little use of helpful technology. We're disrupting the alternative dispute resolution space by eliminating these problems:
– Trusting credentials
– Mediation process slow to start
– Refund/payment guarantees
– Ethical mediators often don't have repeat clients

Organizations (e.g. Universities, ADR programs) certify mediators on Cardano (via Atala Prism), mediators fill out their profile incl. base rates and availability, parties in need of mediation can select suitable mediators via web interface.

    1. Thank you for your comment and posing this excellent question. Indeed, mediators are often faced with cultural differences throughout a mediation. All ADR programs that I attended have had a cultural component – this seems to become the norm. Continuous training and knowing once own biases is crucial for advancing as a skilled mediator. The mediator is there to do a job and not to take things personal nor to stereotype.
It essentially comes down to training and the marketplace requires mediators to have a minimum standard which is ensured by certification from suitable ADR programs.

  1. Hello Matthias,

I’m curious about the certifications — would they be a universal certification? Or, a recommended certificate/program? Would you have a list of authorized certificates?

Is there an expiration for the cert? Often, certifications include a period of authenticity, such as x-years after certification pending renewal.

I can also see your idea including options for mentors in this space.

    Good work!

    1. Hi Kae,

Thank you very much for your comment. Yes, there are many certifications that expire.
Initially, we are planning to incorporate certifications that typically do not expire (such as a Master’s degree) from hand-selected organizations.

Having a mentor as a newcomer to the platform is certainly a great idea that we’ll have to incorporate in the future.

Thanks for the food for thought.
