A way to attract people to a DID platform is giving them a token they can use without needing to fund the account. (Atala PRISM challenge for Fund6)
The MVP would be a Verified Wallet (through a DID/KYC provider), with a way to submit transactions without paying fees (or paying them in a utility token given to them for free, once Babel fees are live).
The utility token can be used for many applications that opt to accept it. It only guarantees that each person can mint it at the same rate. I think this can be beneficial for many applications.
This is an experiment in market based basic income – the token can be traded freely, but has no real value attached by default. It only gains value through apps that accept it.
